How long does a hot water system last?
Most electric and gas storage systems last 8 to 12 years. Continuous flow gas units and heat pumps can run longer with servicing. If yours is in that range and playing up, plan a replacement before it fails.
Which hot water system is cheapest to run?
Heat pump and solar have the lowest running costs over time, though they cost more upfront. Gas is usually cheaper to run than electric if you're on mains gas.
What size hot water system do I need?
A 125 to 160L system suits a couple, while a family of four typically needs around 250 to 315L. Continuous flow gas units never run out. We'll work it out with you on-site.
Can you replace my system the same day?
